Dublin Indie-rock outfit Buffalo Sunn have released their new music video for the single ‘By Your Side’.
Directed by Daragh Murphy, the video’s beautifully shot slow-moving imagery glares within its rural forest setting relating the air and space found in Buffalo Sunn’s latest single visually.
Capturing a great sense of scope and composition within each frame, Murphy’s swaying camera work voyeuristically follows the narrative through the a glowing, natural woodland populated by immense trees that give a sense of aspect to each shot, leading to several almost cinematic flourishes of imagery while imbuing the video with a ethereal atmosphere.
Swaggering with a large-scale production aesthetic, ‘By Your Side’ blends the group’s sense of harmony, melody and rhythm into one cohesive melting pot of indie rock and pop elements that surround the tracks powerful hook-laden chorus.
Working as the perfect visual accompaniment to Buffalo Sunn’s sound, Daragh Murphy’s direction captures the essence of ‘By Your Side’ adding a broader sense of depth to the piece.
