Damien Rice to play Whelan’s 25th anniversary show

Singer-songwriter Damien Rice will play a special show in Whelan’s, Dublin next Tuesday night (May 13th) as part of the venue’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

One of Ireland’s most acclaimed songwriters, Damien Rice is known for his two stellar studio albums O, his 2002 début solo release that featured the simply beautiful ‘Blower’s Daughter’ and ‘Cannonball’, and it’s follow-up which included the brilliant ‘Rootless Tree’ and ‘Dogs’. Rice is currently working on his third studio album.

The performance next week in Whelan’s will be a fitting return to the Dublin venue for Damien Rice, with Whelan’s providing the setting for several breathtaking shows from the songwriter over the years.

Tickets to see Damien Rice play Whelan’s on Tuesday, May 13th are priced at €25 with a limit of four per person and will go on sale tomorrow morning at 9am. For more information visit whelanslive.com.
