O Emperor to support Kasabian on Irish tour

O Emperor

Alternative-rock group O Emperor have been confirmed as the support act for Kasabian’s upcoming Irish tour this month.

The Waterford band will play several dates across the country this May opening for indie-rock act Kasabian during the first leg of their summer 2014 tour as the group support their forthcoming fifth studio album 48:13, which is due out on June 9th. See below for the full list of dates.

Kasabian Irish tour dates:

Wednesday, May 14th – Opera House, Cork
Friday, May 16th – The Big Top, Limerick
Saturday, May 17th – Seapoint, Galway
Sunday, May 18th – Nerve Centre, Derry

With O Emperor’s recent album Vitreous showcasing a harder more succinct aesthetic to the group’s sound through songs such as ‘Holy Fool’ and ‘Contact’, the band’s live performance has evolved to match the brooding ,energetic and deeply dynamic feel of their sophomore L.P with the Irish-indie act capturing the imagination at several live shows since it’s release including a stellar performance at the Workman’s Club in Dublin last November.
