Sunday May 11th will see the launch of volume one of the Dublin Jazz Book at the Bello Bar, Portobello.
Presented in association with Donkey Jaw productions the event, which also includes a live jam session, will showcase the launch of the project. The Dublin Jazz Book aims to “provide the city with a local collection of contemporary standards, and give international musicians an insight into the Dublin jazz scene”.
The Dublin Jazz Book vol. 1 will feature contributions from a myriad of superbly talented artists (28 composers with 53 original jazz compositions) from the cities bustling jazz scene including Riona Sally Hartman, Edel Meade, Julian Colarossi, Cormac O’Brien, Bonnie Stewart and Cote Calmet.
An innovative and creative project that shines a spotlight on one of the most unique aspects of the Dublin music scene as a whole, the Dublin Jazz Book launch next month will encapsulate that talent and vibrancy.
