Women’s Christmas to play Whelan’s

Women's Christmas

Alternative-rock act Women’s Christmas will play the Midnight Hour in Whelan’s this Friday, April 11th.

Having recently launched their brilliant début E.P Tremendous (reviewed by theLastMixedTape here), the garage-rock influenced group will play the upstairs venue in Whelan’s this Friday as part of the Midnight Hour series of gigs, with indie-pop punk trio Ghost Trap.

With the band’s performance in the same venue last January during the Ones To Watch festival Women’s Christmas live shows encapsulate the frantic, raw energetic aesthetic of the group’s studio work, with songs such as the brilliant ‘Summer Born, Winter Bred’ and ‘Bubble On A Shelf’ perfectly capturing their sound.

The group have also recently signed a publishing deal for the E.P with Brighton based indie label FatCat records whose current roster includes PAWS, Forest Fire and U.S Girls.

Admission to see Women’s Christmas and Ghost Trap in Whelan’s this Friday (April 11th) free before 10.30pm after which Club admission applies. To be included in the gueslist visit the events Facebook page here.
