Dublin alternative-rock act Otherkin will launch their upcoming E.P As A High at the Grand Social on March 27th.
As A High is the group’s much-anticipated follow-up to their début release, Broken English. Otherkin have given an exciting glimpse to the extended play’s sound recently when they streamed the record’s title track via Youtube.
Containing a pulsing guitar line that anchors the song’s syncopated rhythm, the melodically interwoven aspects of Otherkin’s sound are expanded upon with a more deeply textured approach highlighting a palpable evolution in the alternative-rock acts aesthetic, inter cut with the group’s characteristic dynamically building and retracting scope. ‘As A High’ is an exciting indication of Otherkin’s forthcoming E.P.
The launch gig will also serve as monthly gig night New Natives’ one year anniversary in the Grand Social with support coming from Other Creatures, Women’s Murder Club, Pockets and Sergasso.
